My body is my instrument: in Die Wellen of [in]operabilities I wear a costume afixed with bells and shakers and make music as I move. A visceral translation of my function as percussionist. © Robin Hinsch

3 is the magic number: by cutting out the quiet and the lyrical, I condensed my recital programme into 3 sportive pieces – Maki Ishii’s Thirteen Drums, Iannis Xenakis’ Rebonds A & B, Brian Ferneyhough’s Bone Alphabet. 3 pieces that are similar in terms of rhythmic intensity but different enough to create contrast.
I teach children and adults of all levels, covering diverse instruments and styles and stimulating their reading, hearing and group-playing skills. Get in touch so we can tailor an individual learning plan together.
